Holiday Greetings to all my Fairy Friends,
We are coming to the end of a very difficult 2009. Let us reflect on the good times, the small blessings and the Wonder that surrounds us. We at Kirks Folly feel so privileged to be living our lives surrounded by Fairyland and all of you good fairies. We love getting your letters, emails and sharing our days with you. Everyone send out a quiet word of Hope to the Universe for a Peaceful, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
We, of course, will be starting our New Year in Wonderland and we invite you to play along. We will be launching an amazing collection of "Thru the Lookinglass" items in our January 22nd, 2010, "Fairies in Wonderland" QVC shows from 1:00 am - 3:00 am (EST) and 10:00 am - 11:00 am (EST). Wait until you see the Madhatter, Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit Cuff Bracelets with matching earrings - you will be over the moon. Keep a sharp lookout on the Kirks Folly online store for the "Who Are You Caterpillar" pieces - we think these are going to be most collectable - very unusual! Lots of fun new Glitter Goddess items coming your way also. If nothing else - we promise you will be sparkling in 2010. And guess who will be first in line March 5th for the opening of Johnny Depp's Alice in Wonderland - that would be the Fairy Godmother!!!!
This past weekend, a major winter snowstorm blasted the east coast and Seaview leaving behind 16 to 24 inches of snow. You can Click Here to see some video of this magnificent winter wonderland that I captured with my video camera this past Sunday morning.
Also, here are the "Little Wea Folks" that I am especially grateful for. With these pictures, Kaena sent me a note that I would like to share - "Trying to capture a good holiday moment with the two of them is impossible - they are both busy with their own pursuits - York is so full of energy, life and drive to do good and conflicted with really wanting to try out the bad and Nea is just pursuing York! These pictures made me think about what a strong little (big!) guy York has become - he really adores Nea and is working so hard to welcome this new little being that he did not beckon into his life. So I guess the moral is to be open to newness - people, experiences, places, ideas - even the ones you didn't seek or beckon - I would say especially the ones you don't seek or beckon. These days Scott and I have been living and quoting Where the Wild Things Are - "Let the wild rumpus start!"
So let us dive into 2010 together - eyes and arms open to all new challenges, opportunities and Fairy friends!
I leave you with this:
"Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared." - Buddha
